Nozzle guard 26002 is mounted at the end of the lance, between its outlet and the nozzle. It forms a spacer buffer and mechanical protection for the nozzle - the component most exposed to contact with the surface during operation.
Component of Kranzle high-pressure accessories. The guard threads onto the lance tip (1/4" internal thread) and accepts the nozzle on the 1/4" thread. It acts as a spacer between the lance end and the nozzle, and as protection against the nozzle striking the cleaned surface. Prevents direct contact of the metal nozzle with the substrate upon accidental touch.
The basis for selection is reference number 26002 - this is a Kranzle catalogue part. Before ordering, confirm the thread on both sides: 1/4" internal on the lance side and on the nozzle side. If you are replacing a damaged guard, compare the geometry with the removed part - the length and body profile must be identical so the nozzle runs on the same axis as the lance.
Kranzle catalogue part. Fits accessories with 1/4" thread on both sides of the connection. Used among others with lances and nozzles from the Kranzle range for professional and semi-professional pressure washers.

Does the nozzle guard affect pressure or jet angle?|The guard itself does not change operating parameters - pressure and jet angle depend on the nozzle, not the guard. The guard only holds the nozzle in an axial position relative to the lance. A jet problem after replacing the guard most commonly means the nozzle is not sitting straight - check the thread and axial alignment after installation.
What does nozzle play after fitting in the guard indicate?|Play indicates a worn 1/4" thread in the guard or a nozzle with a different thread. In the first case the guard requires replacement - operating with a loose nozzle risks it falling out under pressure or producing an uneven jet. Before purchasing a new guard, also check the thread on the nozzle itself.
Can the nozzle be mounted directly on the lance, bypassing the guard?|It depends on the design of the lance tip. Some Kranzle lances have a thread suitable for direct nozzle mounting; others require the guard as an intermediate component. If the lance without the guard has too short a thread or different tip geometry, the nozzle will not be properly seated.
How can you tell the thread in the guard is too worn for further use?|The nozzle threads in without resistance or stops before being fully tightened. When attempting to loosen it, it rotates freely without the thread catching. Another symptom is water dripping from the guard-to-nozzle connection - a thread leak under normal operating pressure.
Is 26002 the only nozzle guard in the Kranzle range, or are there other variants?|Kranzle produces several nozzle guard variants differing in length and body profile, matched to specific accessory series. Number 26002 identifies a specific variant - when replacing, stick to the same reference number or compare the geometry with the removed part to avoid a poor fit with the lance.
