O-ring 41716 with dimensions 15×2mm is a static seal for the valve chamber in the APG valve block (Ventilgehäuse 40.451 1) of the Kranzle pressure washer AM pump. It works alongside the green check valve (41.715 1) – sealing it in the valve block seat and preventing working water leakage under pressure between the valve chambers. The component is included in the repair kit Rep.-Satz Ventile APG (41.748 1), which contains 6 pieces of this O-ring, 6 valves 41.715 1 and 6 O-rings 16×2 (13.150).

Application

The O-ring is mounted in the valve chamber seat of the AM pump APG block, sealing check valve 41.715 1 on the chamber side. During the delivery stroke, water pressure lifts the valve, passing water through the block – the O-ring seals the lateral surfaces of the seat, preventing bypass around the valve through the gap between the valve and the chamber wall. Valve block 40.451 1 contains 6 such valve seats, each with its own O-ring 41716.

Replaced during valve block service – always together with valve 41.715 1 and O-ring 16×2 (13.150) as a complete set for each seat, or within kit 41.748 1 for the entire block.

Symptoms – when to replace

  • Working pressure pulsation with intact piston seals – a worn O-ring in the valve chamber causes bypass around the valve rather than through it.
  • Drop in maximum pressure without an obvious cause on the piston or regulating valve side – leaking valve O-rings allow water to pass between chambers instead of through the working circuit.
  • Visible deformation, hardness or cracking of the O-ring on valve block disassembly – rubber has lost elasticity and no longer seals the seat under working pressure.
  • O-ring permanently flattened after prolonged use – does not return to a round cross-section after removal from the seat.

How to select the right part

Both dimensions must match simultaneously: internal diameter 15mm and cross-section 2mm. Two different O-rings work in the APG valve block: 41716 (15×2mm) at valve 41.715 1 and O-ring 16×2 (13.150) – the 1mm internal diameter difference rules out interchangeability, even though they look similar and sit next to each other in the same valve chamber. During disassembly, mark or photograph the position of each O-ring before removal.

When servicing the APG valve block, order the complete kit 41.748 1 (6 pieces of 41716, 6 valves 41.715 1, 6 pieces of 13.150) rather than individual components – the complete set is sufficient for a full service of the entire block and is more reliable than sourcing individual sizes separately.
