The chemical valve is the assembly used to regulate detergent suction in the pressure washer. Original Kränzle number: 46610 (46.610 in the catalog, Chemieventil kpl.). It is a complete set of parts, not a single knob or valve needle. Fits Kränzle quadro 9/170 TST, quadro 11/140 TST and quadro 12/150 TST pressure washers.
Application
The valve is fitted in the pump's valve housing (Ventilgehäuse). It sets how much detergent the pressure washer draws from an external container, or shuts suction off completely. According to the catalog, the set includes: the angle valve body (46.600), valve needle (46.601), guide (46.602), knob (46.603), 6 mm Parbaks (46.606), steel seat Ø7 (14.118), brass screw M4x8 (46.604), M10x1 suction nipple (13.236) and two 11 x 1.5 O-rings (12.256).
Symptoms – when to replace
- Detergent isn't drawn in, even though the suction hose and container are fine and the knob is open.
- The valve doesn't close fully and detergent is drawn in when the knob is set to closed.
- Moisture or a leak around the knob that doesn't stop after replacing just the Parbaks or O-rings.
- The knob turns loosely, has play or doesn't hold its setting.
- Cracked angle body or damaged thread on the suction nipple.
How to choose the right part
- By number: 46610. It is a complete set, so don't order parts from its contents separately if you're replacing the whole valve.
- By model: quadro 9/170 TST, 11/140 TST or 12/150 TST. The unit type is on the nameplate.
- By assembly: check that your valve has an angle body with a knob and an M10x1 suction nipple, as in the catalog assembly.
- Don't confuse with chemical valves from other Kränzle series. Set 44052 (with parts 44.147, 44.146, 44.151) is in the quadro 599–1200 TST, and 46616 in the therm-RP. These are different assemblies, not substitutes.
- The knob in this set has number 46603 and is not the same as knob 46609 from the therm-RP.
Compatibility
According to the Kränzle parts catalog, assembly 46.610 is in the quadro 9/170 TST, quadro 11/140 TST and quadro 12/150 TST (pages with the valve housing list). In the catalog this assembly contains no cover or strainer, so they aren't part of set 46610. Does not fit quadro 599–1200 TST, the therm-RP series or other Kränzle series.

Does 46610 fit the quadro 799 TST or 1200 TST?|No. These models have a complete chemical valve under number 44052 and different component parts (e.g. regulating piston 44.147, cover 44.146, knob 44.151). Valve 46610 is only in the small quadro 9/170, 11/140 and 12/150 series.
Detergent isn't drawn in. Where should I start diagnosing?|With the flow through the suction hose and the filter in the container, then the tightness of connections on the suction side, because air being drawn in gives the same symptom. Only if these are sound, check the needle, Parbaks and seat in the valve.
Is replacing just the Parbaks enough if it drips at the knob?|Often yes, because the 6 mm Parbaks (46.606) seals the stem. If the leak returns after replacement, the needle, guide or seat is usually worn, and then replacing the whole set is more convenient.
