Switch 411107 is the main switch of the Kranzle pressure washer, manufactured by Schurter. In addition to switching the washer on and off, it contains a built-in overcurrent protection with a threshold of 13.5A. When motor current draw exceeds this value, the trip mechanism permanently deactivates the switch – with no reset function. Activation of the protection means the entire switch must be replaced.
The switch is mounted in the control panel or housing of the washer as the main component for engaging the motor power supply. The built-in 13.5A overcurrent protection operates in the background – during normal washer operation the motor current stays below the threshold. Under motor overload (seized pump, dry running, damaged bearings) the current exceeds 13.5A and the trip permanently deactivates the switch.
Replaced when mechanically damaged, unresponsive to switching, or after the built-in overcurrent protection has tripped.
The 13.5A rated current is a critical parameter – a switch with a higher threshold will not trip at the overload current that the original protects against; one with a lower threshold will trip at the normal motor operating current. Identify by reference number 411107 and the 13.5A rating.

No continuity unambiguously points to the switch. If continuity is correct, look for the cause further along – in the supply leads, start capacitor or motor winding. How to determine whether the protection trip was caused by a momentary overload or a permanent motor fault?|After replacing the switch, measure the current drawn by the motor under normal operation with the gun open – it should be clearly below 13.5A.
