Ignition Electrode 25x140mm

Double ignition electrode (electrode block) generating the ignition spark in the burner's combustion chamber. Fitted right next to the fuel nozzle.

Application

The electrode generates a high-voltage spark right next to the atomized fuel stream from the nozzle, initiating combustion each time the burner starts. It is secured with a clamping plate at a precisely set distance from the nozzle and nozzle stem.

Symptoms – when to replace

• The burner doesn't ignite or ignites with a delay, despite a sound ignition transformer and fuel supply.
• Unstable or intermittent spark visible on startup (if access allows observation).
• Visible melting, soot deposits, or corrosion on the electrode tips when disassembled.
• The electrode's ceramic insulation is cracked, or its mounting is damaged.

How to choose the right part

Selection is based on reference number 44080 – the same part fits the therm 715, therm 1017 and therm-RP, while the therm CA requires a different electrode (44.854), despite an identical function in the combustion chamber.

When replacing the electrode, maintaining the correct distance between the electrodes and the fuel nozzle is critical – too large or too small a gap degrades ignition quality even with a new, sound electrode.
