Galvanized threaded elbow, R3/8" thread on one side, Ermeto 12L fitting on the other. Connects water line components at a right angle.

Application

The elbow connects the R3/8" threaded socket to the 12mm Ermeto line at a right angle, most often near the flow switch (Strömungswächter) in the valve block or water line. It allows the line to be routed at an angle without straining the fittings over a straight run.

Symptoms – when to replace

  • Water leak at the R3/8" thread or at the Ermeto 12L fitting.
  • The thread is worn or damaged and the part cannot be tightened fully.
  • Visible corrosion of the elbow body, despite the galvanized coating.
  • Streak marks on the housing along the line run near the valve block or flow switch.

How to choose the right part

Selection is based on reference number 44092 – the same elbow type is used in the same role across many different Kränzle series, so the catalog number is a more reliable reference than visual comparison.

When replacing, check the condition of the clamping ring (cutting ferrule) on the Ermeto line – if it is damaged, a new elbow alone won't seal the connection.
