Gasket 410193 is a flat rubber sealing washer for the connection between the oil filler cap and the AQ pump housing of the Kranzle pressure washer. It sits between the face of the cap and the seat in the pump housing, forming a tight barrier preventing oil from leaking to the outside. Without an intact gasket, oil crosses this joint under the pressure generated by the running pump and the operating temperature of the oil.

Application

The gasket is mounted directly under the oil filler cap of the AQ pump – between the face of the cap and the seat in the crankcase body. It operates in contact with gear oil, under varying temperature and the heating and cooling cycle of the pump at every washer start-up. Replaced at every oil change in the pump or when a leak appears in the area of the oil cap.

Symptoms – when to replace

  • Oil traces or greasy streaks on the pump housing immediately around the oil cap – particularly visible after prolonged washer operation, when the oil is warm and has lower viscosity.
  • Oil level dropping between changes without an obvious cause on the piston seal side – a leak through a faulty oil cap is often overlooked during diagnosis.
  • Hardened, brittle or deformed gasket visible on removal of the cap – rubber loses elasticity after prolonged use in contact with oil and under varying temperatures.
  • Leak appears or worsens immediately after tightening the cap following an oil change – the gasket is too worn to provide a seal at the correct tightening torque.

How to select the right part

Identify by reference number 410193. Before ordering, compare the dimensions of the removed gasket with those stated (8.5x0.7x8.5mm – dimension to be confirmed on the physical component). The 0.7mm thickness is a critical value – a gasket that is too thick will not allow the cap to be pressed down correctly; one that is too thin will not fill the gap and will not seal the joint.

Gasket 410193 concerns the oil cap of the AQ pump – do not confuse it with the seal or O-ring of the dipstick cap (40463), which belongs to the pump with a built-in oil level indicator in a different series. During disassembly, check whether the gasket was seated in a groove in the cap or on the face of the seat – this matters when fitting the new one.

At every oil change in the AQ pump, replacing the cap gasket is recommended as part of routine maintenance – the cost is minimal, and the risk of a leak after refitting the old, deformed gasket is real.

Compatibility

Oil cap gasket for Kranzle AQ series pressure washer pumps. Verify the exact compatibility range by reference number 410193 and dimensions 8.5x0.7x8.5mm (require confirmation on the physical component).

[faq]

Does gasket 410193 need to be replaced at every oil change, or only when a leak appears?|Replacement at every oil change is recommended – the gasket is inexpensive, and it is removed anyway every time the cap is unscrewed. Rubber loses elasticity after prolonged contact with oil and thermal cycling – a gasket that looks undamaged on removal may fail to seal when the cap is retightened, particularly if it has already been compressed several times. Preventive replacement at the time of an oil change eliminates this problem without any additional disassembly.

How to confirm this is the same gasket as the one in my AQ pump if the dimensions in the description raise doubts?|Remove the oil cap from your AQ pump and take out the gasket. Measure with a calliper: gasket thickness and external dimensions. Then compare with the dimensions listed under number 410193 – if they match, this is the correct part. Reference number 410193 is a more reliable basis for selection than dimensions alone, particularly if the text on the page contains inconsistencies in unit notation.

Does the rubber material of the gasket matter – is any oil-resistant rubber the same?|Not all rubber performs equally in contact with gear oil under varying temperatures. Rubbers not intended for use with oils swell or harden much faster, losing their sealing ability. Use the original 410193 or confirmed equivalents made from rubber resistant to mineral oils. Do not substitute the gasket with a material from another source (e.g. ordinary technical rubber from a hydraulic seal or a flat paper washer) without confirming its chemical resistance to pump oil.

What happens if the gasket is slightly leaking but the seepage is minimal – can it wait until the next oil change?|A minimal leak means oil is gradually being lost and contaminating the pump housing surface – attracting dust and dirt that can enter the pump the next time the cap is opened. In an AQ pump operating intensively, even a slow loss of oil can over time lead to operation with an insufficient oil level. Replace gasket 410193 at the next service opportunity – not necessarily immediately, but not to be put off for many months.

Should additional sealant (paste, PTFE) be used when fitting gasket 410193, or does the gasket work on its own?|Flat rubber gaskets of this type work on their own – they seal by elastic compression between the surfaces when the cap is tightened. Applying sealing paste or PTFE tape with a flat rubber gasket is unnecessary and can disrupt even compression. If a leak appears despite a new gasket and the correct tightening torque – check the condition of the sealing surface of the seat in the pump housing; do not add additional sealing layers.
