Drum Lock Bolt

A hose reel drum without locking rotates freely – the hose can unwind on its own during transport or when the washer is stationary. Bolt 40312 immobilises the drum by sliding or snapping into the locking seat, without the need for tools.

Application

The bolt is installed in the locking mechanism of the Kranzle hose reel drum. Once slid or snapped into the appropriate seat, it engages with the selected drum component and prevents rotation.

Symptoms – When to Replace

• The bolt does not slide securely into the seat – a bent or deformed spindle does not reach the drum locking point.
• Broken bolt body – the lock cannot be engaged.
• The bolt catches or jams in an intermediate position instead of sliding in and out smoothly.
• Damaged bolt guide element – the bolt moves with lateral play and does not reliably reach the locking point.

The bolt must fit the guide and seat in the locking mechanism of the specific drum – the spindle geometry, length, and tip shape determine the effectiveness of locking.
