Connection Stub for Hose Reel

Shaft fitted in the axis of the hose reel, through which pressurized water flows between the rotating part of the reel and the fixed high-pressure connection.

Application

The shaft allows pressurized water to flow from the stationary part of the installation to the rotating reel, on which the high-pressure hose is wound. It rotates together with the reel, while the seals around it remain stationary, allowing the hose to be wound and unwound freely without disconnecting fittings.

Symptoms – when to replace

• Water leaking from around the reel axis during operation or when turning the crank, despite a sound high-pressure hose.
• The reel turns with noticeable resistance or binds at certain rotation positions.
• Scratches, pitting or corrosion marks on the shaft surface where the seals sit.
• Recurring leaks despite a previous replacement of the seals alone (Parbaks) on the shaft – may indicate a damaged shaft surface.

How to choose the right part

Selection is based on reference number 43816 – the shaft is specific to the Profi TST reel series and is not interchangeable with shafts used in quadro reels, despite the outwardly similar reel housing design.

When replacing the shaft, it's worth replacing the Parbaks seals seated on its surface at the same time – these are the most common cause of reel leaks, and their condition directly affects the lifespan of the new shaft.
