Screw 5x30

Application

The screw is used in housing connections – between the plastic housing halves or when securing internal components (motor, pump, cables) to the housing frame.

Replaced after being lost, after thread damage from overtightening, or after the head cracks when attempting to remove a seized screw.

Symptoms – when to replace

• The washer housing creaks, flexes or does not hold its correct shape at the point of a missing or loose screw.
• Screw missing – the housing at that point is held only by the remaining fastening points, which overloads the adjacent screws and clips.
• Damaged drive recess in the head – the screw cannot be removed with a tool without risk of slipping and damaging the housing in that area.
• Thread stripped or pulled out of the plastic housing from overtightening – the screw rotates without resistance and does not hold.
