Small hydraulic accumulator with a 0.25l capacity, fitted in the Flow-Safety-Block. Dampens pressure spikes in the block's hydraulic circuit.

Application

The accumulator works inside the flow safety block, alongside the control piston and valve spring. It dampens momentary pressure spikes and pulsations in the hydraulic circuit, preventing false triggering of the flow switch or safety valve caused by brief pressure fluctuations.

Symptoms – when to replace

  • Overly sensitive or unstable operation of the safety valve/flow switch, reacting to minor pressure fluctuations.
  • Visible leak at the accumulator's seat in the safety block.
  • Noticeable jerking or pressure pulsations during operation that weren't there before.
  • Damage or deformation of the accumulator body visible when the block is disassembled.

How to choose the right part

Selection is based on reference number 44140 – note the suffix on the number, as "44140-1" is a separate accumulator mounting sleeve, not the hydraulic accumulator itself.

When replacing the accumulator, also assess the condition of the mounting sleeve (44140-1) and the L-fitting (44.869) at the same mounting point – a leak may come from any of these components.
