Temperature Sensor Ermeto 12mm Tee

Galvanized threaded tee, two Ermeto 12mm (M18x1.5) fittings and one tapered R3/8" AG thread. Incorporates the temperature sensor into the water line without interrupting the main line.

Application

The tee is fitted in the water line at the outlet of the heating coil, allowing a branch to the temperature sensor (Temperaturfühler) controlling the thermostat, while maintaining continuity of the main water flow through the two Ermeto 12mm fittings.

Symptoms – when to replace

• Water leak at any of the tee's three connections.
• The thread is worn or damaged and the part cannot be tightened fully.
• Visible corrosion of the tee body, despite the galvanized coating.
• Unstable temperature readings on the thermostat, which may indicate a leak at the sensor's seat in the tee.

How to choose the right part

Selection is based on reference number 44173 and the connector configuration (2x Ermeto 12mm + 1x tapered R3/8" AG) – it's worth comparing with the removed tee, since different therm models may have a slightly different temperature sensor line layout.

When replacing the tee, also check the condition of the temperature sensor and the clamping rings on the Ermeto lines – a leak may result from several cooperating components at once.
