Motor Bearing 7204 B TVP FAG

Single-row angular contact bearing by FAG, fitted in the motor on the A side (fan and drive coupling side). Listed in the parts catalog as the A-side thrust bearing.

Application

The bearing supports the motor shaft on the A side, carrying both radial and axial loads generated from the cooling fan and drive coupling side. It works together with the B-side bearing (43.025) on the opposite end of the shaft.

Symptoms – when to replace

• Audible rumbling or squealing from the motor, more pronounced under load than at idle.
• Noticeable axial play in the motor shaft when trying to shift the fan along its axis after removing the cover.
• Vibration transmitted to the motor housing and drive coupling.
• Overheating of the housing near the A-side bearing during extended operation.

How to choose the right part

Selection is based on reference number 43026 and the bearing designation FAG 7204 B TVP (also referred to as 7204 BEP) – both designations refer to the same A-side angular contact bearing.

When replacing the A-side bearing, also check the condition of the B-side bearing (43.025) – axial loads carried by the A side often accelerate wear on the bearing at the other end of the shaft.
