Brass Plug R1/2" with DN6 Outlet

Plug 420321 is a brass component closing an R1/2" bore in the Kranzle pressure washer pump, fitted with an additional outlet for connecting a DN6 hose. The external taper thread R1/2" (BSPT) on the pump side seals through the thread flanks when tightened. The DN6 outlet on the other side of the body allows a small hydraulic or drain hose to be connected – depending on the installation position in the pump. The brass body provides corrosion resistance and safe operation in contact with aluminium pump components.

Application

The plug is mounted in the R1/2" bore of the pump in place of the standard sealing plug 42032 – at a position where, in addition to closing the channel, a connection for a small DN6 hose is simultaneously required. The function of the DN6 hose depends on the specific installation position in the Kranzle pump – it may serve to drain controlled leakage, connect a small hydraulic circuit, or provide another connection requiring a hose with a nominal diameter of DN6. The circuit is closed on the hose side by the connected hose or a blanking plug at this outlet.

Replaced when the R1/2" thread is damaged, the DN6 outlet leaks, or the body is mechanically damaged.

Symptoms – when to replace

• Water leak at the R1/2" thread on the pump side – the taper thread does not seal correctly with damaged or worn flanks.
• Leak at the DN6 connection – damaged hose seat or a leak at the hose-to-plug body connection.
• Mechanical damage or corrosion of the brass body – particularly in the DN6 connection area under constant water contact.
• Stripped or damaged head hex – a secure grip with a wrench is no longer possible without risk of deforming the brass head edges.

How to select the right part

Identify by reference number 420321. Plug 420321 and plug 42032 have the same R1/2" thread and brass material – they differ only in the presence of the DN6 outlet. Use 420321 only in bores where a DN6 hose connection is required – in other pump bores with an R1/2" thread, use standard plug 42032.

Before ordering, confirm the thread type in the pump bore: R1/2" taper BSPT (progressively tighter resistance when tightening) or G1/2" parallel BSPP (uniform resistance). Both have identical external diameters – they are not interchangeable.

Also check the DN6 outlet configuration on the removed component – whether the hose is crimped, screwed or connected via an Ermeto fitting – and select the correct hose before fitting the new plug.
