Washer D40x6

Steel washer Ø40mm with a 6mm hole and 1.5mm thickness, fitted at the chassis wheel. 2 pieces are used per machine.

Application

The washer sits between the wheel and its mounting on the axle, spreading the load and ensuring an even wheel seat. It sits directly next to the wheel cap (Radkappe), which covers the entire mounting from the outside.

Symptoms – when to replace

• The wheel has noticeable side play on the axle, despite a sound retainer (ring or cap).
• The washer is visibly bent, corroded, or worn when the wheel is disassembled.
• Uneven wheel operation or rubbing against neighboring chassis components while moving.
• Metallic sound or rattling at the wheel when moving the unit.

How to choose the right part

Selection is based on reference number 452167 and the 40x6x1.5mm size – it's worth comparing with the removed washer, since different models may use washers with similar but not identical dimensions.

When replacing, also assess the condition of the wheel (44.538) and the wheel cap (46.011) in the same mounting – wheel play rarely results from a single washer alone.
