Electric coil controlling the opening of the solenoid valve in the burner fuel pump. When voltage is applied, it generates a magnetic field that opens the valve.
The coil is fitted onto the stem of the solenoid valve (44.251) in the fuel pump. On receiving an electrical signal in line with the ignition sequence, it generates a magnetic field that mechanically opens the valve, allowing fuel to flow to the burner nozzle.
Selection is based on reference number 442511 – this is the coil alone, without the valve mechanism. If the problem is a leaking seal or mechanical sticking of the valve with a sound coil, the valve itself (44.251) will be needed instead.
During diagnosis, measure the coil's resistance with a multimeter before purchasing – a clear deviation from the typical value or an open circuit confirms the coil needs replacing, not the valve itself.
