Chemical Valve Knob

External knob with a decorative cap, used to adjust detergent dosing. Operated directly by the user on the unit's housing.

Application

The knob turns the regulating piston inside the chemical valve, changing the flow cross-section and thereby the amount of detergent drawn in and mixed with the water. The decorative cap covers the mechanism securing the knob to the valve stem.

Symptoms – when to replace

• The knob turns freely with no resistance, not transferring movement to the regulating piston inside the valve.
• The knob is cracked, broken off, or the decorative cap is missing.
• Detergent dosing doesn't change despite turning the knob.
• The knob is loose on the valve stem and spins without any noticeable adjustment resistance.

How to choose the right part

Selection is based on reference number 44151 – the same part fits a very wide range of Kränzle series, so the catalog number is a more reliable reference than visual comparison.

When replacing the knob, also assess the condition of the regulating piston (Regulierkolben, 44.147) and the spring (44.148) inside the valve – no adjustment effect despite a sound knob often points to these components.
