Buffer Tank Cover Gasket

Gasket for the round inspection cover fitted on the water tank (Wasserkasten) of Kränzle quadro 599 TST, 799 TST and 899 TST units. Provides a tight seal at the point through which a service technician accesses the float valve inside the tank.

Application

The gasket is fitted between the inspection cover (Revisionsdeckel) and the water tank housing, right at the access point to the float valve regulating the water inflow. The cover is tightened with a star-grip screw (Sterngriffschraube M6) without tools – the gasket maintains a tight seal at this joint every time the cover is opened and closed.

Symptoms – when to replace

• Water seeping or dripping from under the inspection cover during operation
• Hardened, cracked, or dried-out rubber – the gasket loses elasticity after years of use
• Permanent flattening of the gasket after repeated opening of the cover during float valve service
• Cover tightened, but a water leak is still visible at the contact point
• Material loss or cracks visible when the cover is disassembled
