Fuel Float Switch

Electric float switch with 1.5m PVC cable and NBR float, fitted in the burner fuel tank. Signals a low or empty fuel level.

Application

The float is fitted in the burner fuel tank, near the fuel supply cover. It detects a drop in fuel level and sends an electrical signal to the control system, preventing the fuel pump from running dry when the tank is empty.

Symptoms – when to replace

• The burner doesn't signal a low fuel level despite an empty or nearly empty tank.
• False low-fuel signals despite a full tank.
• The float is visibly damaged, cracked, or doesn't move freely on its guide.
• Broken or damaged PVC cable at the point where it passes through the tank cover.

How to choose the right part

Selection is based on reference number 44014 – it's worth comparing with the removed float for cable length (1.5m) and the mounting method in the fuel tank cover.

When replacing, also check the condition of the fuel supply cover's rubber gasket (Gummidichtung) at the same location – a leak there can let contaminants into the fuel tank.
