The 5" water filter is fitted on the hose supplying water to the pressure washer, before the pump inlet. The brass housing, with a 3/4" inlet (male thread) and a 3/4" outlet (female thread), lets the filter be fitted into an existing installation without additional connectors.

Application

It stops sand, rust, scale and other mechanical impurities carried in the supply water before they reach the high-pressure pump. It's especially useful when supplied from your own well, a rainwater tank, a hydrant or an older water installation, where the built-in mesh filter at the pump inlet may not be enough. The housing takes a replaceable filter cartridge – when it gets dirty, only the cartridge is replaced, with no need to buy a new housing.

Symptoms – when to replace

  • Drop in water flow despite a sound pump – a clogged cartridge restricts the flow
  • Cracked or leaking filter housing – a leak at the threaded connection
  • Damaged or worn 3/4" thread on the inlet or outlet, making a tight hose connection difficult
  • Sediment or impurities reaching the pump despite the fitted filter – a sign that the housing or cartridge isn't sealing properly
  • Visible corrosion of the brass housing after long contact with aggressive water

How to choose the right part

The key is checking the thread type on the inlet and outlet – this filter has a 3/4" inlet with male thread (AG) and a 3/4" outlet with female thread (IG), which sets it apart from variant 133200 (2x 3/4" female thread). Before ordering, measure the threads on the supply hose and on the pressure washer's inlet, to avoid having to buy additional reducing connectors.

Compatibility

Fits any installation with a 3/4" thread on the supply water – universal accessory fitted ahead of the water inlet on most Kränzle pressure washers, regardless of model.

How does this filter differ from variant 133200?|133200 has a female thread (IG) on both sides, while this model (133201) has a male-thread (AG) inlet and a female-thread (IG) outlet – the choice depends on which connectors are already on the hose and the pressure washer's inlet.

Can I buy just the filter cartridge, without the whole housing?|Yes, a separate replaceable filter cartridge is available for this housing – with normal wear, replacing the cartridge and keeping the brass housing is enough.

Does this filter replace the filter built into the pressure washer?|No, it works as an additional filter ahead of the unit's water inlet – the mesh filter built into the pressure washer keeps working, and this filter simply stops larger impurities earlier, before the water reaches the unit.

How often does the cartridge need cleaning or replacing?|It depends on the quality of the supply water – when supplied from your own well or tank, it's worth checking the cartridge more often than with a municipal supply, where mechanical impurities are less common.
