Cap 4154004 is a rubber end cap closing the Kranzle Turbokiller rotary nozzle guard on the lance side, intended for nozzle size 40. The cap seals the rear edge of the guard and protects the space between the guard and the nozzle body from contaminants entering at the inlet side at the lance connection.

Application

The cap is fitted on the rear edge of the Turbokiller size 40 nozzle rubber guard, on the lance side. Closing the rear opening of the guard prevents sand, dirt and abrasive particles from entering the space between the guard and the nozzle body – contamination in this space abrades the body and can impede free rotation of the rotary head. The rubber material of the cap adapts flexibly at different working angles with the lance.

Replaced when the cap cracks, is lost, or hardens in a way that prevents a tight seal at the rear section of the Turbokiller 40 nozzle guard.

• Visible cracking or crumbling of the rubber – the rear edge of the guard is no longer sealed and contaminants enter the space between the guard and the nozzle body.

Cap 4154004 (size 40) does not fit the size 45 guard (415405) or size 70 guard (415406) – different sizes, different diameters at the rear edge of the guard.

Identify by reference number 4154004. When replacing the cap, also assess the condition of the main guard – if the rear edge of the guard is deformed or cracked, a new cap will not seal this area without replacing the guard.
